On Monday, the court learned call records and information obtained from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most publicized child disappearance cases and remains unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate voicemail, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I believe what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "What if there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? What then? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," she added.

The jury was informed that through electronic messages, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with the police force who collated the data, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the phone records.

On that date, Gerry McCann picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my position."

Kate and Gerry McCann provided testimony to the court from protected by a protective barrier on Wednesday

The court was informed Mrs Spragg developed a association online with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a visit to the McCanns' home in the county in last December.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the months leading up to the trip to that location, the county, in December 2024.

The court was told communications between the two accused, in that autumn, considering trying to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a eating establishment.

"We have to make a stand," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their home, the defendant sent a communication which expressed: "We find ourselves positioned adjacent to the McCanns' house with our headlights off like private investigators. I had hoped to achieve this with someone else I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings continues.
