The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
